The series was created by Tim Brooke-Taylor, Graeme Garden and Bill Oddie, and originally co-written by all three, with Oddie providing the music for the show
The three actors met each other as undergraduates at the University of Cambridge, where Brooke-Taylor was studying law, Garden was studying medicine, and Oddie was studying English.

The Goodies signed display double mounted and in black minerva frame, overall size 20″ x 13″ inches, item has been clearly signed in ball point pen by all three characters, Tim Brooke Taylor, Bill Oddie and Graham Garden. The three actors met each other as undergraduates at the University of Cambridge, where Brooke-Taylor was studying law, Garden was studying medicine, and Oddie was studying English.
